We walked around and around, and I went by myself to the back. Let me tell you how pretty this was. It was green fields for as far as I could see, and there was this hill behind it. I couldn't help but sing aloud (there was nobody back there, so it was safe) "The hills are alive with the sound of music!" in a Maria/Sound of Music way. It was priceless! You could go under the castle, there were so many stairs. You could even see from a bit of a ways away a staircase that led to a sheer drop of a hundred feet or so. It was so cool! It made me want to go visit more castle ruins!
We learned so much. It was very cool. We headed over to an English pub afterwards around 3 o'clock. First pub was a fail. We got there at 3:30 and they said they don't serve food from 3-6pm, even though their website said they serve food all day. And their sign outside said "open all day, everyday, from mid-day". We ended up at a different pub called the Wharf Inn. It was a pub/hair salon/laundrette. I've never heard of such a thing. Then keiren and I split fish and chips, which was a colossal size enough to feed us both for probably more than two meals. We all headed home via the car and stopped by some old stocks and houses, through a car ride that lasted about an hour and a half to two hours. I went to bed around eight thirty, fewf!
At the mini jail holding cell (open to the sky!) at the front.
This is where we had coffee and tea at 11ish. It was made a little more stable, and there was a mini museum inside, giving the history of the castle.
From the side where the gardens were.
I see no difference.
(I didn't know we weren't supposed to take photos inside this little house).
^ My special back lot.
(and me)
Lunch by the canal!
What happened there? There was a mini playground near where we ate, and an intimidating pig who snuffled /chased people away.
This fish. was huge. The picture doesn't do it any justice.
